Calgary prices, sales dropped in October

The Calgary Real Estate Board’s preliminary figures show a drop of 6.1 per cent in the average MLS price of homes in the city last month. That means that prices in October averaged $457,513 – the lowest average this year – the median was down 2.6 per cent to $419,000. Sales volume was down by a third to 1,421. There was also a fall in new listings (down 7.9 per cent) while active listings were higher year-over-year (up 16.1 per cent to 5,576).
