Calgary real estate brokerage closing

One of the largest real estate brokerages in Alberta is closing amid the province’s weakened economy. Discover Real Estate started in 1995 but owner Graham Mayne told the Calgary Herald that the drop in commissions has hit the firm hard and he was only taking $100 from realtors for each sale which he says he should have increased faster.

Around 400 agents who have been working with Discover have been contacted by Mayne to inform them of the closure and advising them to find another brokerage to work with.
