Finance ministers meeting was “positive”

Canada’s finance ministers met over the weekend and Monday but there is not likely to be any change in policy in the near term. Federal finance minister Bill Morneau said that the meetings had a “really very positive spirit of collaboration.” He said that there were no real areas of disagreement but that no firm decisions were taken. Ministers will be meeting again midway through 2016 with a view to setting out any proposals this time next year.
