Monthly dispute resolutions of FCSO rise to 750

The monthly dispute resolutions of the Financial Services Commission of Ontario (FCSO) have risen from 500 to 750, as past disputes had been resolved and backlogs eliminated.

The past years, FCSO and the ADR Chambers, the company it has contracted to help attend these long-neglected disputes, have resolve about 30,000 cases in backlog.  As a result, the FCSO has increased its targets from 500 monthly to 750 monthly, and may be searching for a new contract company to realize these goals.

Kirsten Rose, FCSO spokesperson, adds, “FSCO is increasing the arbitration monthly file assignments to ADR Chambers due to the high volume of files.”
