The Mortgage Company of Canada is to pay costs of $100,000 to the Ontario Securities Commission in settlement of a probe into allegations surrounding the sale of $32.2 million of shares to investors. The mortgage investment firm and associated firms and two officers of the company were accused by the regulator of failing to register with the regulator for the sale of the shares.
