Mortgage lenders raise funds for charities

Two of Canada’s largest mortgage lenders have helped raise money for charity with sporting events this month. Last week the National Mortgage Alliance Day took place with three tournaments in Toronto, Calgary and Vancouver. The Golf Day is one of series of events organised by Mortgage Alliance and raised $30,000. “It is nothing less than inspiring to see how involved and supportive our mortgage professionals, staff, and lender partners are.” says Michael Beckette, CEO of Mortgage Alliance. “A huge thank you to everyone for their contribution to the success of the event.”
Meanwhile the 17th annual Scotiabank Vancouver Half Marathon and 5K took place Sunday with 6,500 runners pounding the course from UBC to Stanley Park. The event raised at least $850,000 for 83 Vancouver charities through the mortgage lender’s Charity Challenge.
