New director at Scotiabank

Scotiabank has appointed Tiff Macklem to its board of directors. Dr Macklem is the dean of the Rotman School of Management and is a former senior deputy governor and COO of the Bank of Canada. He was also a Department of Finance deputy minister and was Canada’s finance deputy at the G7 and G20. The mortgage lender’s chairman Thomas O’Neil commented: "Tiff's professional experience and understanding of the financial services industry makes him a strong addition to Scotiabank's board of directors. We look forward to the insight and international knowledge that he will bring to the board."
