RBC has hired one of the modern-day pioneers of Artificial Intelligence to help it research and develop tech innovations.
The bank’s RBC Research facility in Edmonton will work with Dr Richard Sutton and the Alberta Machine Intelligence Institute at the University of Alberta on matters relating to machine learning and AI solutions.
“We believe AI has the potential to bring about major improvements in areas such as client service, fraud prevention and risk management; advancements that will have far-reaching benefits in financial services and beyond,” commented Gabriel Woo, vice-president of innovation at RBC.
