Figures from the Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation show a rise in rents in Vancouver. A two-bedroom purpose built apartment in the city will not cost on average $1,345 a month with Calgary not far behind at $1,319 and Toronto at $1,269. The national average is $949. The figures are based on a survey of 35 markets across Canada undertaken in April 2015.
