National Bank announces leadership team changes

Two senior members of the executive team at National Bank of Canada are to retire and the bank has named their successors.

Diane Giard, EVP Personal-Commercial Banking & Marketing has been with in the industry for more than 35 years but will retire on June 1, 2018.

She will be succeeded by Lucie Blanchet, currently Senior Vice-President – Distribution, Solutions and Processes, who will take over Ms. Giard’s role as EVP, Personal Banking & Marketing. Meanwhile, Stéphane Achard, currently serving as Senior Vice-President – Commercial Banking, Canada and International, will become Executive Vice-President – Commercial Banking and Insurance.

National Bank’s human resources and corporate affairs EVP Lynne Jeaniott is also to retire and will be succeeded by Brigitte Hébert – Executive Vice-President, Operations.
