Another all-time high for London-St Thomas

Sales of homes in the London-St Thomas region of Ontario have hit another record high.

There were 1,220 homes sold by members of the London and St Thomas Association of Realtors, up 14.2 per cent year-over-year to reach the highest level since the association started tracking sales data in 1978.

"Since the beginning of the year, every month has achieved record sales. After the first four months, we're about 25 percent ahead in home sales compared to 2016," said Jim Smith, LSTAR President.

Detached home sales were up 11.7 per cent year-over-year while condo sales soared 25.1 per cent. The average sale price was up 5.4 per cent to $347,062 from March while the year-to-date average was up 16.6 per cent from the average in 2016.
