Another US real estate brand expands to Canada

One of the fastest-growing US franchisors has chosen Leduc, Alberta as the location of its first international offices.

Realty ONE is known as a real estate industry disruptor and has 11,000 real estate professionals in 160+ offices across 35 states in the US. Now with its Western Canada presence it is set to take a slice of the Canadian market.

The office opened in January with a soft launch as Realty ONE Group Insider, co-owned by Dan Rowland and Merrick Duggan. It will serve southern Edmonton, Leduc County and Wetaskiwin County.

“Opening the doors of our first international office is a tremendous milestone but we’re really just getting started,” said President of Realty ONE Group Affiliates, Vinnie Tracey. “We have the vision and strategy in place to grow rapidly in the US, Canada and beyond, especially when we pair our proven business model with talented franchise owners like Dan and Merrick.”

Further expansion to come
Realty ONE Group of Western Canada is overseen by president and regional director Shami Sandhu.

“There’s really no limit to what Dan and Merrick will be able to do,” said Sandhu. “This is truly what the local real estate market needs and the ‘you-first’ culture will attract leagues of others.

The firm has secured rights to Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta and British Columbia and expects to open offices in those four provinces in the coming months.
