Avison Young has enhanced its tenant advisory and enterprise solutions group with the strategic hire of industry veteran Eamonn Murphy as principal and managing director of the Ontario region.
Murphy has more than 30 years of experience, most recently at JLL Canada where he was an executive vice-president in the firm's Toronto operations.
Previously he was with Cushman & Wakefield (formerly Royal LePage Commercial).
As one of the country’s top 5 performers in both previous firms, Murphy is expected to help grow the firm's service-line coverage across the Greater Toronto Area and nationally.

Reunited with past colleague
Murphy will work closely with Avison Young Principal and office leasing practice leader Rob Armstrong. The two previously worked together at JLL and Cushman & Wakefield.

During his career, he has brokered leases covering more than 15 million square feet of office, industrial and retail space, and has worked with some of the country's and world's largest firms in the fields of accounting, financial services, legal services, engineering, investment services, technology and consumer products.
