The needs of Canada’s housing sector will be discussed at the National Housing Conference in the fall and the CMHC is inviting innovative ideas.

The corporation wants to hear from experts, stakeholders, and academics who wish to present research papers at the 2-day event on November 21 and 22.

The key areas to be addressed include housing finance (big data analytics, policy reforms, Fintech, and property values and mortgage insurance); and housing needs (for those in greatest need, Indigenous housing, sustainable housing, and balanced supply).

The event will bring together experts from across Canada along with international guests and CMHC says it will be an opportunity to innovate and collaborate on solutions for housing in Canada; and create a forum to share and debate issues that touch the entire housing spectrum and systemic issues.
