Colliers appoints EVP for valuation, advisory team

Colliers has added new strength to its Valuation & Advisory Services operations in Canada.

James MacQueen has joined the firm from Brookfield RPS as executive vice president to lead the Canadian Valuations team. Prior to his EVP role at Brookfield he held senior management positions at several real estate firms including CBRE, Teranet, and Oxford Properties.

The Sydney, NS, born executive joined the downtown Toronto office on August 27.

Apart from being a business development expert, MacQueen also specializes in land registry, data and analytics, and strategic services, in addition to real estate management, development and valuation.

Under his leadership at Brookfield, the firm boosted its topline revenue and appraisal volume, and achieved a 99% client retention rate, among other notable milestones.

With 25 years in the industry, MacQueen holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Dalhousie University and an MBA from University of Toronto’s Rotman School of Management. He has been a volunteer with the Children’s Wish Foundation of Canada since 2001, and currently serves as Chairman of the Chapter Advisory Board for Ontario.
