Lender highlights diversity with new-HQ construction fence

National Bank’s new headquarters in Montreal is under construction and the lender has taken the opportunity to celebrate diversity.

The construction fence around 300 metres of the site at the intersection of Robert-Bourassa Boulevard and Saint-Jacques Street is a colourful display of the bank’s commitment for diversity.

National Bank has also launched its #CelebratingOurDiversity campaign to benefit the Fondation Émergence.

"Our construction fence project reflects our desire to enhance the site of our future head office and promote diversity and inclusion, values that are very important to us," stated Louis Vachon, President and CEO of National Bank. "People are invited to take selfies in front of the fence and share them on social media. The Bank will donate $1 to the Fondation Émergence for each selfie shared, up to a maximum of $25,000. "

"National Bank values diversity and inclusion in all its aspects through concrete actions. For example, we promote inclusive HR practices, and we've had an internal network for years, operated by employees from these communities and their allies, as well as strong partners such as Fondation Émergence, with whom we've collaborated for over 10 years," highlighted Martin Gagnon, Executive Vice-President – Wealth Management and Chair of our Executive Committee on Diversity and Inclusion at National Bank.
