​New real estate platform enables young investors to choose their projects

The aptly named Open Company, based in Kitchener-Waterloo, invites young investors to choose their real estate projects. This is a move designed to attract  fresh blood who are willing to learn into the industry.  Entrepreneurs interested in the business who may not have the necessary skills and time will be given guidance and the proper orientation while their funds are being managed.

With an initial investment ranging from $500 to $2,500, investors can expect a 12 per cent return on properties still being developed, and 8 per cent from buildings that are finished and are being leased.

Open Company, which offers more than 1,000 apartment units for prospective investors, is awaiting approval from the Ontario Securities Commission.
