One of the best US states to live in is just south of the border

Canadian real estate investors or those seeking a second home in the United States should look just south of the border.

While snowbirds may be tempted by states further south, especially Florida, a new report finds one of the best states to live in is Minnesota.

The North Star State ranks just behind Massachusetts in the overall rankings from WalletHub’s 2019 Best State to Live In list, but it easily beats it for affordability, ranking sixth in this regard compared with Massachusetts lowly 43rd place.

The analysis is based on a total of 51 livability factors including housing costs, health and education, safety, and income growth.
