Real estate network recognised for philanthropy

Royal LePage Shelter Foundation has been awarded for its philanthropy, recognizing its huge contribution to help women and children in need.

The real estate network’s charitable organization has raised more than $27 million over the past 20 years for women’s shelters that provide relief to more than 50,000 women and children every year.

The award from the GTA chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals recognises the achievement of Royal Le Page’s offices which are partnered with local women’s shelters through the Canadian Women’s Foundation.

Local agents make donations from their sales commissions, organize fundraising events and provide in-kind contributions.

“As real estate professionals, Royal LePage agents are committed to giving back to the communities where they work and live. By supporting the Royal LePage Shelter Foundation, our agents help their local shelters provide much-needed services for women and children fleeing abuse,” said Shanan Spencer-Brown, executive director, Royal LePage Shelter Foundation. “I am so grateful to Royal LePage agents and brokers for their unwavering determination to help women and children lead safer, happier and more hopeful lives. I am thrilled that their efforts are being recognized with the 2018 Philanthropy Award for Outstanding Corporation.”
