Canada’s most expensive places to rent

A Toronto-based website has identified Toronto, Vancouver and Calgary to be the most expensive places to rent in Canada.
 
The Rentseeker’s report stated the average rental rate for one-bedroom apartments in the following housing markets:

Toronto ($1,201)
Vancouver ($1,123)
Calgary ($1,135)
 
More affordable in comparison
Gatineau ($630)
Montreal ($661)
Windsor ($664)
 
Rentseeker depended on the 2014 statistics of the Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation's 2014 report.
 
In addition, data from research firm Urbanation revealed rental demand for Toronto condos reached record levels in 2014, while people in Vancouver found difficulty trying to rent in a competitive market.
