There was a 47 per cent rise in the sale of rental apartment buildings in Metro Vancouver in 2015 according to realtors David and Mark Goodman. In their Goodman Report they say that total value of all apartment building sales increased 99 per cent in the year, although that was largely due to bigger buildings being sold. The average price of the 6,259 suites sold in the year was up 5 per cent to $247,879. David Goodman told the Vancouver Sun that around 80 per cent of the rental apartment buyers were local.
