Growing GTA brokerage donates $50K to SickKids

A Greater Toronto Area real estate brokerage has donated thousands of dollars to a children’s health charity.

Search Realty has pledged 1% of all sales to the SickKids Foundation and recently handed over a cheque for $50,000 to help further its research into child health and its world class hospital.

The hospital provides treatment to more than 100,000 children every year and the connection with Search Realty comes from first-hand experience of the hospital’s care by the firm’s owner and broker of record.

"Right from my childhood days, I wanted to give back to the people who helped me when I needed it most. We feel extremely privileged to have our permanent plaque in the main hallway of SickKids. This will inspire up to continue to support them in the future," said Sterling Wong, owner of Search Realty Corp. and Search Mortgage Corp.

Following the contribution to the foundation, Search Realty is permanently honoured with a plaque in SickKids’ hall of donors.
