Young Canadians worry about debt, buying a home

Retirement is far from the thoughts of many young Canadians with more pressing financial issues dominating.

A new survey by BMO found that the largest share (29%) are concerned about carrying too much debt with financing a home purchase and other large expenditure taking second place (22%).

The poll shows that two thirds of millennials are worried about their financial situation (especially older millennials) and that around half are living with parents.
