Almost all immigrants expect to buy a home in Canada

New immigrants to Canada are more positive about the economy here than they are about their own country’s finances. A new report from BMO shows that 58 per cent say their family will be better off here while 38 per cent say they will be much better off. Looking at prospects for their children 95 per cent expect them to obtain a post-secondary education, 93 per cent say they will get a good job and 92 per cent expect that they will buy a home. The survey, conducted for the mortgage lender by Pollara, found that 62 per cent say that Canada’s economy is better than that in their home country.
