Avison Young hires real estate investment veteran as principal

Avison Young has hired a new principal in its Ontario region, adding industry experience to its capital markets team.

Retail real estate investment sales specialist Cameron Lewis has a mandate to help grow the company's retail investment sales service-line coverage across the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) and throughout Ontario.

He will also liaise with the firm’s capital markets team across Canada, sharing his experience of the sale of retail properties for the past 27 years including 10 years with Colliers International, and 17 years as a Director at RBC Capital Markets.

"It's great to have Cam as part of Avison Young's Canadian team," states Mark Fieder, Avison Young Principal and COO, Canadian Operations. "His nationwide experience in identifying opportunities and negotiating transactions for all types of open and enclosed retail formats will be invaluable in providing transaction services tailored to existing and new clients' needs in order to achieve their real estate objectives."

Lewis, who holds both a Master of Business Administration degree and a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics from the University of Western Ontario, says he joined Avison Young for its business model and dedication to customer service.

"The Principal-led model aligns with my own professional and fiduciary-driven approach to executing effective disposition strategies that maximize value for clients. I look forward to working with my new colleagues to provide optimal real estate solutions to our clients, and to making a contribution to the organization's ongoing success and growth."
