The commercial real estate industry is still reliant on outdated spreadsheets in managing trillions of dollars of property. That’s according to Canadian tech firm Altus Group which says that the industry needs to invest in technology to keep up with other sectors. The firm’s CEO Bob Corteau says that the commercial real estate sector is missing out on the big data that can be gleaned from technology solutions.
