Commercial sector remains steady says BCREA

The commercial sector in British Columbia remains flat according to the Commercial Leading Indicator (CLI) from the BC Real Estate Association. Following two consecutive declines, the quarterly index was up 0.1 per cent in the fourth quarter of 2015 and was 0.4 per cent above that of a year earlier.

"Financial market jitters offset solid gains from a strong BC economy," said BCREA economist Brendon Ogmundson. "We expect that the economic environment will remain supportive of steady growth in the commercial real estate market."
