Couples hate talking finance says CIBC

A new poll from CIBC has found that, while almost all respondents say it’s important to discuss finances with a partner, just 32 per cent of couples about to get married or live together do so seriously.

The lender’s survey also revealed that around a third of couples have a mortgage when they get hitched and 46 per cent say paying down debt is a priority.

A third of respondents also revealed that buying a home is a priority within 5 years of getting married or living common-law.
