Default mortgage-related payments in Quebec decreasing steadily

Default payments of homes and mortgages in Quebec have been decreasing steadily the past five years, according to a report in The Montreal Gazette. 

Information from the JLR Recherche immobiliere points out that the lessening of lost payments from 2009 to 2013 has been more than noticeable.  In this time period, prior notices released for non-payment has been reduced by 12 percent while the number of cases of home owners who had lost their properties due to their failure to pay has also decreased by 37 percent.
