Foreign investors in commercial property in Vancouver has grown by 10 percentage points in the past year. Colliers International’s latest commercial real estate report shows that in the first quarter of 2016, foreign investors made up 55 per cent of total investment by US dollar volume, up from 45 per cent a year earlier. Chinese investors in particular have increased their portfolio of foreign commercial real estate, although 45 per cent of their focus has been on Manhattan, Sydney and London.
