Inaugural housing awards finalists named

The Canadian Home Builders’ Association has named the finalists for its inaugural National Awards for Housing Excellence. The awards, sponsored by Genworth Canada and Delta Faucet, replace the SAM awards.

CHBA chief executive Kevin Lee said there were a record 700 entries: “Our judges had a really challenging time with so many exciting and innovative projects to review, but one of our judges summed it up best when he said that looking at the quality of all these entries makes you really proud of the membership in the Association.

There are categories for new homes, renos, marketing and community development and winners will be announced at a ceremony on May 6. The full list of finalists can be found on the CHBA website.
