A marketing campaign from TD Bank last year has re-emerged as a trending video
on YouTube. The promotion involved gifts being handed out to customers at ATMs – rebranded as “automated thanking machines” for the campaign. Customers who thought they were just going to get some cash ended up with flowers, trips to Disneyland and even return air tickets to Trinidad to visit a daughter with cancer. The feel-good marketing video has been viewed almost 21.5 million times and found its way to the top of the trending chart this week, 10 months after it was originally posted.
