Prince George housing starts ahead of 2014

Data from the Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation has found the pace of housing starts in Prince George and its areas are still well ahead of last year’s numbers.
 
The housing authority said the home building activity for April alone has reached 18 new single-family home units. The year to date total has reached 52, a jump from eight starts for the month and 25 starts year-to-date by the same point in 2014.
 
Prince George Citizen also reported that there were “starts on 18 units of multiple-family housing in April, compared to just two for the same month last year. Year-to-date, the total now stands at 21 units, compared to two units by the same point in 2014.”
