Slower sales, listings for Saskatoon

Sales of homes in the Saskatoon area were down 14 per cent in November compared to the same month of 2015 and year-to-date sales were 7 per cent lower.

Saskatoon Region Association of Realtors revealed that there were 243 units sold in November and a cumulative 3,489 sales over 11 months. Prices held up though with the average $350,000 virtually unchanged from a year earlier.

“An increase in sales in the higher end homes has helped to support the average price in the Saskatoon market” states Jason Yochim, CEO with the Saskatoon Region Association of Realtors.

There were 7 months of homes available at the current sales pace despite a dip in listings.
