Spire Developments hires COO to drive expansion plan

Vancouver-based Spire Development Corp. is growing its asset classes and geographic reach and has hired a new chief operating officer to help drive the expansion.

The firm, founded in 2007 by Lawrence Greenand Pete Rackow with the sole intention of building industrial warehouses, has expanded into new areas including the acquisition, financing, development, management, and construction of unique and boutique projects.

These include housing projects in Vancouver including luxury condos, high-end storage facilities, and car washes.

Geographical expansion includes planned developments in Kelowna, Calgary, and Kamloops.

Joining to spearhead the firm’s pivotal growth is real estate veteran Stephen Wiens, whose 20+ years in the industry will bring added experience to drive the business forward.

As COO he will oversee all aspects of Spire's finances, staffing, accounting, IT, and communications. He will also strengthen and add to the firm’s internal systems.

New peak
"We're at a new peak, and the need to stay on top of the hiring game during such a pivotal point for Spire has led us to a series of new hires – specialists who are passionate about their fields," says Pete Rackow, co-owner of Spire. "As Spire's projects diversify and more complex projects require resilient financing, we are thrilled to onboard Stephen as COO."
