TD Bank Group customers now have a new way to connect to a mortgage professional, via the bank’s mobile app.

TD has added a mortgage concierge service to its app which uses geolocation technology to connect customers to a nearby and available mortgage specialist.

“Homeownership is a goal for many of our customers and we saw an opportunity to look at how we can improve on the overall process and experience,” said Rizwan Khalfan, executive vice president and chief digital and payments officer.

First-time buyers are concerned
TD has also revealed the results of a new survey which shows that 56% of Canadian first-time homebuyers are anxious that they will forget a vital step as they begin the homebuying process.

Almost a quarter of respondents said they are stressed out by the homebuying process and 21% are overwhelmed.

TD says that mortgage concierge service is part of its commitment to making the process easier for newbies by providing them with information and the ability to easily connect to mortgage professionals from their smartphone to get answers to their questions.
