Toronto real estate agents showcase condos in China

The Harper government has promised more data on foreign buyers of Canadian homes if they are re-elected but for now the picture is uncertain, but no-one’s denying that there is a market for Canadian homes among Chinese buyers. For that reason a group of Toronto real estate agents have been in Beijing showcasing condos. The Globe and Mail says that many of the agents are originally from China and are well-versed in explaining the immigration process as well as the homes. The two-week visit to China reveals a shift in the last year or so from selling via Chinese real estate agents to going there to pitch directly to buyers. While the debate rages on about foreign investors it seems that for developers it is a key part of their growth plans.
